A Poem: Their Truth

She Whispered and He Leaned In…

He shed a tear and she ran her hand across his cheek.

She felt the desire and he layered her with  passion.

He said words of wisdom she agreed.

She cried in pain from far and he ran to her.

He shared is loss she pulled him to her chest.

She touched his shoulders and he touched her curves.

He explored his true side she watched in awe.

She read. He listened.

He walked nature’s path and she followed.

She kissed his lips. He pulled her tight.

She prayed. He saw the answer.

He fell short and she extended a hand.

She crumbled and he carried her.

He celebrated her joy. She honored him.

She saw a vision. He confirmed.

He saw her freedom expressed. She explored more.

She saw him desire more in life. He fought harder to see his calling.

He had compassion for all. She had compassion for him.

She saw his potential. He was not sure.

He saw her potential. She was not sure.

She exalted him as a man. He honored as a woman.

Their truth…

They pulled. They pushed. They connected. They disconnected. They honored. They dishonored. They prayed. They cursed.  They crawled. They ran. They nourished. They drained. They started. They stopped. They defended. They offended. They sought. They found. They knew. They doubted. They endured.

They remembered their truth…

4. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10. but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.

11. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face.

Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. Corinthians 13:4-13 New International Version (NIV)
